So as I’m in deep to “The 99 Challenge” I also remember saying at the beginning that I was not going to blog just to blog. This is about providing VALUE to my readers. This is about showing (or giving away) something that readers can take away after they have so generously given me 5 or 10 minutes of their time.
Therefore, I have to switch it up a bit. I want to put into action some of the processes that we use on a daily basis and let you see the results. Obviously we take our clients privacy very seriously and don’t want to embarrass anyone, so we are going to do some testing of our own (on our own site).
As I sated very early on, we have been very fortunate in that we have not had to market our own business in 18 months. Referrals have been fast and furious and continue to come in all the time. That’s great, but our website is horrible!
When I built the site 2+ years ago, it was about giving out information about our company. But I never finished it.
As things took off, my priorities shifted to fulfilling the work and not worrying about the website. The website was there more for legitimacy purposes (at that time) than it was designed for bringing in business. But I want that to change and there is no better time to put our processes in place and show you how they work.
So instead of blogging every single day, I’m going to be building tests, landing pages, product pages, etc. Then I will blog about those pages and show you exactly what I did, how I changed them, the results that are coming in, etc.
Once again, things are changing and I need to adapt.
Sure, I can go on blogging everyday about digital marketing problems, tactics, optimization rules, etc. But why not build some content to show you and THEN blog about it. Then we have some real world examples to look at and dissect.
Besides, these are the things that I’m doing EVERY DAY with our clients. We should be showing you exactly how we go about our process and what we want to help you do.
Here is just some of what we are going to do:
- Build a lead magnet
- Build a landing page
- Design a sales funnel
- Do an email campaign
- and several others along the way
Don’t worry if you don’t understand what we’re talking about above. You will understand it by the time we are finished.
Throughout this process, I’m will be documenting it from start to finish, and then when I’m done, we’re going to turn that information into a lead magnet of it’s own (where people have to sign up to get the information).
If I’m going to do this to 99 posts, I need to turn some of those posts into some real world examples to show you. I may as well show you how we do it on a day-to-day basis.
I will take that 30-60 minutes a day and put it into creating these examples and then once they are complete, return to the blog to show you how it’s been done and don’t worry, I will keep track as well. I plan on completing this challenge.
